TOKYO:- A total of 230,800 Japanese Yen has been raised through a fundraising campaign organized by Balewa Sewa Samaj Japan for the treatment of 40-year-old Shobhakar Paudel—a resident of Amalachaur, Baglung Municipality-12—who is suffering from a complex spinal nerve disorder.
According to the society, Paudel—who is in a dire financial situation—is currently undergoing medical treatment. A campaign was launched to provide humanitarian assistance after difficulties arose in raising the necessary funds for his treatment.
Office bearers, patrons, and members of the society, along with various well-wishers from the Nepali community in Japan, generously contributed to the campaign, which was conducted under the coordination of the organization’s treasurer, Deepak Raj Paudel.
The society stated that the 230,800 Yen collected from 52 donors during the campaign has already been transferred to the Nepal-based bank account of the patient, Shobhakar Paudel.
Surendra ‘Prem’, President of Balewa Sewa Samaj Japan, expressed gratitude to all the donors who provided financial and moral support to make the campaign a success; he also pledged that the organization would continue to stand by fellow citizens facing hardship, illness, or disaster in their home village and community, even while living abroad.
He stated that initiatives related to emergency relief, natural disasters, medical treatment, and other humanitarian services would be continued in the future.
