Chief Minister Thapa administered oath of office and secrecy

MAKWANPUR:- Newly appointed Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Kiran Thapa Magar, took the oath of office and secrecy today.

Province Chief Dipak Prasad Devkota administered the oath in a ceremony held at the Province Chief’s Office in Hetauda. CPN UML leader Thapa was appointed to the post in accordance with Article 168 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal.

He received support of 63 members in the Provincial Assembly- 26 from Nepali Communist Party and 12 from Rastriya Prajatantra Party. His party had 25votes.
