Heavy rain likely in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces today
KATHMANDU:- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. The monsoon trough is currently positioned near its normal location.
As a result, the hilly regions of the country are generally cloudy. The Terai region of Sudurpaschim Province is also generally cloudy, while the Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces are partly cloudy.
Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places across Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, and in one or two places in Sudurpaschim Province.
The weather across the country will be generally cloudy this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places within the mountainous and hilly regions.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places across the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in Madhesh Province and a few places in the Terai region of Koshi Province. Heavy rain is likely in one or two places within the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Tonight, skies will generally be cloudy over the country’s mountainous and hilly regions, while the Terai region will experience partial cloudiness. There is a possibility of moderate rain accompanied by lightning in a few places across the mountainous regions and in some places across the hilly regions.
The department has stated that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places across the Terai regions of Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in Madhesh Province and the Terai areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
