TOKYO:- A Citizens’ Help Desk has been established at the Embassy of Nepal in Tokyo with the aim of providing consular services to Nepalese citizens in Japan in a faster, easier and more effective manner.
The help desk, established in collaboration with the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan, was recently inaugurated and launched amidst a special program.
The inaugural program was attended by NRNA Japan President Subhash Lamichhane, Acting Ambassador of the Nepali Embassy Harihar Kant Poudel, Former President of NRNA Japan Navin Nyure, Spokesperson Sachin Acharya, Acting President of the Federation of Indigenous Peoples of Japan Buddhi Gauchan, President of the Magar Association of Japan Victor Thada Magar, and embassy staff.
Speaking at the event, NRNA Japan President Subhash Lamichhane said that this initiative has been taken to reduce the various difficulties faced by Nepali brothers and sisters across Japan while availing consular services.
Noting that NRNA Japan has arranged to deploy its own staff to the embassy to provide services, he highlighted this initiative as a significant step in the organization’s commitment to addressing the issues, inquiries, and needs of every Nepali living in Japan. He stated that such efforts for the welfare of the Nepali community would be continued in the future.
Similarly, Acting Ambassador Harihar Kanta Paudel highly praised this proactive initiative by NRNA Japan.
Stating that collaboration between government agencies and community organizations is essential for the services and facilities of Nepali citizens abroad, he said that this work focused on serving the citizens is highly commendable. Acting Ambassador Poudel also expressed confidence that this collaboration between the Embassy and NRNA Japan will become stronger, more robust and result-oriented in the coming days.
Nepalese service seekers who approach the embassy through the newly constructed Citizen Assistance Center will be able to easily obtain necessary information, facilitation of paperwork, and guidance on various embassy services.
This joint initiative of government agencies and social organizations is expected to make a significant contribution to providing more convenient, systematic, and citizen-friendly services to the Nepali community in Japan.
