LOS ANGELES, (HV):- Angel Bhandari, a student at Brownell Talbot School in the US state of Nebraska, has created international history by becoming the world champion in robotics.
Angel’s team won the title at the prestigious ‘Vex Robotics World Championship’ held in St. Louis, Missouri, in April 2026, beating more than 7,000 teams from around the world.
Her team succeeded in becoming world champions by displaying an undefeated record of 23-0, which is considered rare in the history of the competition.
Angel played a key role as team coordinator, strategist, and operations leader in this world-class competition. Angel’s managerial skills and technical expertise were the key to success in this competition, where students designed, engineered, built, and programmed their own robots.
In addition to robotics, she was also a national finalist in an international business plan competition. She is now preparing to pursue higher education in global business and finance at Fordham University in New York.
This success of Angel, the daughter of Gyanendra Bhandari and Smriti Rana Bhandari, who hail from Chainpur, Sankhuwasabha district of Nepal, has created great excitement in the Nepali community in America.
Gyanendra Bhandari, who runs a prestigious restaurant business in Nebraska, is also known as a leader and mentor of the Nepali community there.
This historic achievement by a second-generation Nepali-American Angel has become a matter of pride for Nepalis around the world.
