Nepali Embassy Oman organizes program to promote bilateral business and trade
MUSCAT:- The Embassy of Nepal in Muscat, Oman, organized a program focused on “Trade and Relationship Building” with the aim of promoting trade and investment between Nepal and Oman.
The Embassy stated that the event recently covered topics such as exportable products from Nepal, investment opportunities available in the country, and the expansion of business ties between Nepali and Omani entrepreneurs.
At the event, Acting Ambassador Bishesh Kumar Sah noted that Nepal prioritizes Oman as a key partner for the promotion of trade and investment.
He expressed his pleasure regarding the visit of the first-ever high-level business delegation from Nepal. He also delivered a presentation covering investment opportunities in Nepal, investment procedures, institutional frameworks, and the reasons why Nepal serves as an attractive destination for Omani investors.
Following the presentation, he paid tribute to Nadira Al Harthi—the first Omani woman to summit Mount Everest—and other mountaineers who lost their lives in avalanches.
Govinda Ghimire, President of the Federation of Export Entrepreneurs Nepal, outlined the potential of products with a competitive advantage for export from Nepal and highlighted the Federation’s efforts to promote an export-oriented economy.
Similarly, Rabindra Shakya, President of the Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal, highlighted the authenticity and traditional craftsmanship of Nepali handicrafts, as well as the trade potential in Oman and Gulf countries. An exhibition of various Nepali products was also held during the event.
The Embassy stated that the event was attended by more than 70 participants, including a high-level business delegation from Nepal, CEOs, directors, and representatives of Omani businesses and hypermarkets, media personnel, and Nepali businesspeople based in Oman.
