QKS Inter-School Futsal begins

KATHMANDU:- The 2nd QKS Inter-School Futsal Tournament, organized by Kasthamandap School, kicked off on Thursday.

The tournament was jointly inaugurated by Dr. Shiva Thapa, Director and Principal of Kasthamandap School, and Ranjit Thapa, Principal of Kanjirowa School and Chairperson of QKS. Ten group-stage matches were completed on the first day.

In the Senior Boys’ category, Bhaktapur NIST defeated Rosebud 2–0, while Kasthamandap ‘A’ beat Rosebud 2–1. In the same category, Kasthamandap ‘A’ and Bhaktapur NIST played out a goalless draw.

In the Junior Boys’ category, Kasthamandap ‘A’ defeated Triyog 2–1 and Bhaktapur NIST 6–0, while Triyog beat Bhaktapur NIST 1–0. The match between Rosebud and Akshara ended in a 1–1 draw.

In the senior girls’ category of the tournament organized by Quality Kathmandu School (QKS), Triyog defeated Bhaktapur NIST 4–0, while Kasthamandap ‘A’ beat Bhaktapur NIST 2–0. The match between Kasthamandap ‘A’ and Triyog ended in a goalless draw.

The tournament, currently being held at the host school Kasthamandap in Mandikhatar, features 15 teams in the junior boys’ category, 16 in the senior boys’ category, and 12 in the senior girls’ category. The final is scheduled for Shrawan 29.
