NEW YORK:-  The Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce has officially launched the Nepali American Business & Investment Summit (NABIS) 2026, a three-day international business summit aimed at strengthening economic cooperation, trade, investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship between Nepal and the United States.

Scheduled for September 25–27, 2026, at the New York JFK Marriott, NABIS 2026 will be held under the theme “Connecting Capital, Ideas & Opportunities.”

The Summit will bring together government leaders, business executives, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and members of the global Nepali diaspora to create new opportunities for cross-border collaboration and long-term economic partnerships. Speaking at the official launch event, Pradip Shrestha, President of the Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce, said NABIS is more than a business conference and represents a broader mission to connect people, resources, and ideas between Nepal and the United States.

“NABIS is more than a conference. It is a platform to connect ideas, capital, and people who are committed to building stronger economic ties between Nepal and the United States,” Shrestha said.

He emphasized that Nepal has tremendous investment potential in sectors including tourism, hydropower, information technology, agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing, and startups. At the same time, he highlighted the important role of the Nepali diaspora in the United States, where thousands of Nepali-origin entrepreneurs, investors, technology professionals, and business leaders have built successful enterprises and developed valuable global networks.

According to Shrestha, NABIS was created to connect these opportunities by bringing together Nepal’s investment potential and the resources, expertise, and capital available within the Nepali-American community. He said the Summit will focus on creating practical outcomes where ideas transform into businesses, discussions lead to partnerships, and commitments result in meaningful investments.

Shrestha also highlighted that NABIS 2026 is committed to supporting Nepali-owned businesses across the United States. Nepali entrepreneurs from New York to California, Texas to Illinois, and Florida to Washington have established successful businesses in industries including restaurants, hospitality, healthcare, technology, real estate, construction, financial services, retail, education, and transportation. The Summit will provide a platform for these entrepreneurs to connect, exchange experiences, build strategic partnerships, and explore opportunities to expand their businesses nationally and globally.

“NABIS is not only about bringing investment to Nepal. It is also about strengthening the Nepali-American business community in the United States,” Shrestha said, emphasizing that strong local businesses help build stronger communities.

The Summit will feature four major discussion areas focusing on Nepal’s investment opportunities, international trade and capital partnerships, technology and artificial intelligence innovation, and strategies for helping businesses grow from local markets to global platforms.

The three-day event will include keynote addresses from international and diaspora leaders, government and business leadership discussions, a Startup Showcase and Product Launch, investor networking opportunities, business matchmaking between businesses and government representatives, strategic partnership meetings, and a Gala Dinner and Recognition Program.

During the launch event, the Chamber unveiled the official NABIS 2026 website and opened registration for participants. Applications are now open for startups and entrepreneurs interested in presenting their businesses through the Startup Showcase and Product Launch. The Chamber also announced opportunities for sponsors, exhibitors, and strategic partners to participate in the Summit.

Organizers said the timing of NABIS 2026 is especially significant as it will take place during United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week and Climate Week NYC in New York, providing an opportunity to connect with global leaders, policymakers, investors, and business decision-makers.

NABIS 2026 is organized by the Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Consulate General of Nepal in New York.

The Chamber said additional announcements regarding confirmed speakers, strategic partners, registration updates, and the full Summit agenda will be released in the coming weeks.
