Nepali community of Singapore provides Rs 17 lakh to flood victims

SINGAPORE:- Nepalese Society, Singapore provided Rs 17 lakh for the Bhotekoshi flood victims.  

Nepalese Society, Singapore deposited Rs 17 lakh11 thousand,585.57 in the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund after collecting from its community and its member through private collection campaign.

Burmese Gorkha Society, Singapore played vital role in this campaign.

To express condolences, solidarity and sympathy for those who lost their lives in the disaster, Nepalese Society, Singapore, organized a memorial service and candle lighting program on Bhadra 22.

More than 50 of its members, friends and well-wishers took part in the programme attributed to those who lost their lives in the disaster.

“We consider it our responsibility to unite and provide as much support as possible at a time when Nepal is going through such a difficult situation. We are grateful to have contributed to bringing our community together while supporting the Nepalese Society in this campaign,” said Hema Poudel, President of the Burmese Gorkha Society Singapore.
