5th Valley Public Inter-School Futsal Tournament Begins
KATHMANDU:- The 5th Valley Public Inter-School Futsal Tournament, organized by Valley Public High School, kicked off on Wednesday.
The tournament was jointly inaugurated by Valley Public co-founder Sunita Bista Adhikari and Head of Administration Mahesh Adhikari.
On the first day of the U-16 boys’ competition, Bagmati defeated Three Star 2–0; AIA beat Bagmati 4–1; LRI defeated Bodhi Sadan 4–1; Team Ashram beat Bloom Nepal 2–0; Vedvyas defeated Bodhi Sadan 3–0; Three Star beat AIA 3–0; Kaustubh Academy defeated Sunrise 3–1; Valley Public beat Bal Bikash 5–1; Bloom Nepal defeated United Scholars Academy 2–0; and Galaxy Public School beat Kaustubh 3–2.
Similarly, Valley Public and Marvelous played out a 1–1 draw; likewise, Bal Bikash and Marvelous, United and Team Ashram, Vedvyas and LRI, and Galaxy and Sunrise also finished their matches with 1–1 draws.
In the U-16 girls’ category, NBFA defeated VS Niketan 2–0, while Paradise Readers beat NBFA 1–0 and Kathmandu International School 5–0. Matches between Kathmandu International School and NBFA, as well as between Kathmandu International and VS Niketan, ended in goalless draws.
Twenty-six teams are participating in the U-16 Senior Boys’ category, 16 in the U-16 Senior Girls’ category, and 16 in the U-12 Junior Boys’ category. The winners will receive a cash prize of 15,000, while the runners-up will receive 10,000. Awards will also be presented to the best player, the top scorer, and the best goalkeeper. The final will be held on Shrawan 19.
