Six Nepali films awarded at the Everest International Film Festival
KATHMANDU:- Awards were presented on Tuesday to the winners of the Everest International Film Festival organized by China.
Six films were selected for the final competition out of the 21 films participating in the festival, which was organized with the aim of promoting Nepali cinema internationally and strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.
Among the selected films, the best ones across various categories were honored with cash prizes. At the event, *Hostel 3* won the award for Best Editing and received a cash prize of US$1,000. Similarly, *Mahajatra* was awarded a prize of US$1,000 in the Best Cinematography category.
Actress Meruna Magar was named Best Actress for *Kabaddi 4* and received 1,000 US dollars. Deepak Raj Giri was named Best Actor for *Chhakka Panja*.
Similarly, Shankar Ghimire, the director of ‘Tel Visa’, received the Best Director award along with a cash prize of US$2,000. ‘Anjila’ was declared the Best Feature Film and won a cash prize of US$4,000.
