DNA testing kits and Rs 10 million handed over to the government
KATHMANDU:- Kul Acharya and Uttam Nepal, Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs) residing in the UK, have handed over DNA testing kits and financial assistance to the government.
The DNA testing kits were presented to the government on Monday during a program held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal. On the same occasion, Uttam Nepal also handed over a check for 10 million rupees (1 crore rupees) to the government—as a form of support—through Minister Khanal.
Acharya and Nepal provided this support in their personal capacity. Expressing gratitude to both of them, Foreign Minister Khanal stated his belief that the DNA testing kits and financial assistance received would make a significant contribution toward enhancing the government’s capacity for advanced DNA testing and research.
