Global IME Bank honored with ‘Best Bank Award’ 2026
KATHMANDU:- Global IME Bank has been honored with the ‘Best Bank Award’ 2026, presented by the international financial publication ‘Global Finance’.
The bank stated that this marks the third consecutive year it has received the ‘Best Bank Award’ from Global Finance magazine. Global IME Bank had also won the same award in this category in 2024 and 2025.
At a special ceremony held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, a representative from Global Finance presented the award to the bank’s two Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Suman Pokharel and Deep Chandra Regmi.
Global Finance stated that it awarded the bank based on key criteria including its capacity to mobilize financial resources, institutional credibility, expansion of geographical and digital reach, strategic business partnerships, customer-friendly innovation, successful application of cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence (AI), sustainable lending, and robust risk management.
At the ceremony, major financial institutions from across the globe—including the Asia-Pacific region—were also honored with awards.
Among those recognized in various categories were internationally renowned banks such as Bank of China (Hong Kong), State Bank of India, ICBC (China), Global IME Bank (Nepal), UOB Malaysia, City Bank (Bangladesh), and MUFG Bank (Japan).
