Gold price drops, silver price rises in Nepali market
KATHMANDU:- The price of gold has decreased slightly in the Nepali market today, while the price of silver has risen. Compared to yesterday (Tuesday), the price of gold has dropped by Rs 1,000 per tola, whereas the price of silver has increased by Rs 10.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold (Chhapawal) is set at Rs 283,200 per tola today, and the price for the same quantity of silver is fixed at Rs 4,320.
Yesterday, the price of fine gold was set at Rs 284,200 per tola, while the price for the same quantity of silver was Rs 4,310.
Last Monday, fine gold traded at Rs 288,500 per tola, and silver traded at Rs 4,445 for the same quantity.
According to international media reports, gold is currently trading at $4,029 per ounce and silver at $57 per ounce in the international market.
