One Step Foundation provides Rs. 2.5 million assistance to flood victims
TEXSAS:- The One Step Foundation, a US-based charitable organization, has contributed NPR 2.5 million for the rescue and relief of those affected by the devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi River.
Bal Joshi, a philanthropist, runner, and founder of the Texas-based foundation, deposited the sum of NPR 2.5 million into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. While announcing the contribution, he handed over the cheque for the amount to Suresh Adhikari, the Consul General of Nepal in Texas.
Upon receiving the cheque, Consul General Adhikari expressed his gratitude to Joshi for supporting the Government of Nepal and the affected citizens during this time of crisis.
“At this moment, the country needs the support of Nepalis scattered across the globe. This contribution of yours will inspire others to also support their motherland,” Adhikari said.
Joshi stated that the assistance was provided on behalf of the foundation, mindful of the obligation towards his homeland during this time of crisis. He urged Nepalis across the globe to contribute—according to their means—towards the rescue and relief efforts for flood victims.
Joshi, who holds a world record in the ‘World Marathon Challenge’ (known as the 777 Marathon), has previously contributed over 20 million rupees to various social and humanitarian causes.
