Balkrishna Tiwari couple donate 15,000 euros to Nepal Ghar Campaign
By Dinesh Giri, BARCELONA:- The largest individual contribution to date has been received for the ‘Nepal Ghar’ (Nepal House) construction campaign being conducted by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Spain.
Mr. Balkrishna Tiwari and Mrs. Ramkala Tiwari, residents of Palma de Mallorca, have deposited €15,555 (fifteen thousand five hundred and fifty-five euros) into NRNA’s official bank account for the construction of the Nepal Ghar. This marks the largest individual donation received for the campaign so far.
According to NRNA Spain, they provided this support selflessly, seeking no position, honor, or special privileges, but solely with the aim of realizing the shared dream of the Nepali community. The Association believes that this contribution has not only provided financial support to the ‘Nepal Ghar’ campaign but has also instilled inspiration and confidence across the entire Nepali community.
So far, €345,486.04 in support has been pledged for the ‘Nepal Ghar’ campaign, while €176,555.70 has already been received in the NRNA’s bank account. The remaining pledged funds are expected to be received in due course.
NRNA Spain has announced that, following a recently concluded special joint meeting, it has decided to proceed with the down payment for the purchase of the ‘Nepal Ghar’—estimated to cost around €500,000—only after a minimum of €250,000 has been received in the bank account.
On this occasion, NRNA Spain extends its heartfelt respect to Balkrishna Tiwari and Ramkala Tiwari and requests all those who have pledged their support to deposit the committed amounts into the bank account as soon as possible.
The Association believes that ‘Nepal Ghar’ is not merely the project of a single organization or individual, but rather a shared asset for the entire Nepali community in Spain and a center of permanent identity for future generations. Therefore, a heartfelt appeal is once again made to the entire Nepali community for their active support, cooperation, and participation to ensure the success of this campaign.
