Prime Minister Balendra Shah nominated RSP senior leader
The meeting has constituted the ‘Party Secretariat’ in accordance with Article 23 of Part 6 of the party statute. The Secretariat comprises the Party President, elected office-bearers—including Vice-Presidents Dr. Swarnim Wagle and Sobita Gautam, General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya, and Joint General Secretaries Asim Shah, Hari Dhakal, and Nisha Dangi.
KATHMANDU:- Balendra Shah has been nominated as a senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
Party General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya informed that a meeting of the Central Committee held today decided to nominate Shah—who also holds the position of Prime Minister—as a senior leader.
According to him, Shah was unanimously nominated as a senior leader of the party upon the proposal of Party President Rabi Lamichhane, in accordance with Article 22, Sub-section 11 (j) of Part 6 of the party statute.
While paying tribute to the citizens who lost their lives in recent incidents in districts including Sunsari, the party meeting expressed RSP’s deep condolences to the bereaved families. The meeting also wished for the speedy recovery of all citizens and security personnel injured in the incidents.
According to General Secretary Acharya, the meeting conducted a detailed and critical review of the multifaceted aspects of the party’s first historic general convention, which spanned from the ward level to the central level. It was decided to undertake a comprehensive study of the entire process—while unhesitatingly acknowledging the shortcomings and weaknesses that occurred at various levels during the democratic exercise and learning from those experiences—in order to make the entire party organization more mature and robust.
Similarly, the meeting has constituted the ‘Party Secretariat’ in accordance with Article 23 of Part 6 of the party statute. The meeting decided to make the performance of ministers from parties participating in the government more people-oriented and to enhance coordination with the party; to this end, it was resolved to hold mandatory discussions with ministers at the party office—in the presence of Central Committee members—at least once a month regarding contemporary and multifaceted issues.
Regarding social media guidelines concerning suicide and self-immolation, and with serious consideration for social sensitivities, the Central Committee has issued a directive instructing members at all levels of the party not to share or disseminate news, information, or content related to tragic incidents such as suicide and self-immolation on any of their social media platforms.
