40 days to HoR elections: Printing of 5 million ballot papers for PR system remaining

KATHMANDU:- The Election Commission (EC) shared that printing of 15 million ballot papers for the proportional representation (PR) electoral system has been already carried out. 

The ballot paper printing had started at the press of Janak Education Material Centre since January 16. Now five million ballot papers are remaining to be printed.

According to the EC, printing of the ballot papers for the first-past-the-post (FPTP) will begin upon completion of the printing of ballot papers for PR system. The final name list of the FPTP candidates has been set, the EC informed.

For the purpose of nomination filing, a set of voters’ name list was printed and dispatched to all districts.

The EC has made public the name list of 3, 406 candidates for the House of Representatives (HoR) to be held on coming March 5.

Likewise, the EC has provided election symbols to the candidates on last Friday. (RSS)
