Traffic again halted at Gaganekhola on Karnali highway

KALIKOT:- Traffic has been disrupted again on a section of the Karnali Highway at Shubhakalika of Kalikot district due to a landslide at local Gaganekhola, Shubhakalik Rural Municipality-1.

The District Police Office reported that the road at Gaganekhola has been completely blocked since this morning due to a landslide with debris.

The Road Division Office is working to clear the road using an excavator, said Janak Sharma, the spokesperson and information officer of the District Administration Office.

Gaganekhola is prone to landslides, and the road is most often blocked every year, even during normal rainfall. On Friday, it was also blocked because a landslide with debris occurred there. RSS
