Mandal from Sarlahi succumbs to burn injuries due to self-immolation attempt

KATHMANDU:- Bibek Mandal, 25, from Godaita municipality, Sarlahi, who had himself set on fire a few days ago, succumbed to burn while undergoing treatment in Kirtipur early this morning. 

According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Mandal breathed his last at 2:05 am today. Following the incident took place on Friday in Sarlahi, he was airlifted to Kathmandu and was admitted to the Kirtipur (Burn) Hospital. He was receiving the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) treatment.

Mandal set himself on fire by sprinkling petrol on his body. Around 80 percent of his body was burnt, according to the hospital. (RSS)
