Report submitted stating no alternative to Chair Oli in party leadership

KATHMANDU:- A report has been presented stating that there was no alternative to Chairperson KP Sharma Oli in the next leadership of the CPN (UML).

Chief of the CPN (UML) Publicity and Publication Department and standing committee member Rajendra Gautam shared that the party leaders in course of group-wise discussions in the ongoing second statute convention mentioned that there was no alternative to Chair Oli in party leadership.

Some media disseminated wrong information regarding the statements made by leaders on the issues of age limit and two-year term in course of group-wise discussion in the third day of the convention, he opined.

Gautam argued, “The leaders of 10 different groups have submitted a report in the closed session by incorporating the issues raised in course of the discussions. They have suggested that the statute should include a provision that not only the President, Vice President, but also those who have received constitutional appointments should not be allowed to return to the party politics.”(RSS)
