Heavy rainfall in Koshi and Karnali today

KATHMANDU:- Heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in the hilly region of Koshi and Karnali Provinces today.

There are chances of moderate rain in some places of the hilly region of the country and a few places of the rest of the country, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

The weather will remain generally cloudy in the hilly regions of the country and partly cloudy in the rest of the country.

Light drizzle is currently taking place in the federal capital, with the monsoon low-pressure trough is currently positioned near normal in the eastern part of the country, while it lies slightly south of the near-normal position in the western region.

Additionally, the low-pressure area around Sikkim is expected to influence weather conditions in eastern Nepal.

Tonight, the weather will continue to remain generally cloudy in Koshi and Madesh Provinces, along with the hilly regions of the country.

Moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of Koshi Province along with the hilly regions Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces and at a few places of hilly and tarai regions of rest of the country.

There are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of tarai region of Koshi Province, adds the Division. RSS
