Pushpasadan makes a winning start in the intercollegiate basketball tournament
KATHMANDU:- Pushpasadan made a winning start in the SRC Plus-2 Inter-College Boys’ Basketball Tournament on Monday.
In the tournament—organized by Pulchokians Fitness Hub and coordinated by Insight Sports Nepal—Pushpasadan defeated Laligurans National Academy 74–70. Prasun Khadgi scored 20 points for Pushpasadan.
GoldenGate recorded mixed results in the tournament currently underway at the covered hall in Kirtipur. GoldenGate ‘A’ defeated Omega 63–59, with Navodit Dhami scoring 14 points for the winning team. Meanwhile, KVC defeated GoldenGate ‘B’ 61–55; Mandip Guragain contributed 33 points for KVC.
Fursang Chhiring Dong, a former president of the organizing body and a consul, inaugurated the tournament at a formal event.
In the tournament—organized with the sponsorship of AECC and the support of Keto, Shree Nav Prabhat Dairy, and Shubhalabh Multipurpose Cooperative—the winner will receive a cash prize of 50,000 rupees, the runner-up 25,000 rupees, and the third-place finisher 15,000 rupees.
Awards will also be presented for ‘Man of the Match’, ‘Most Valuable Player’, best defensive and offensive players, and the most disciplined team. The total prize purse stands at 145,000 rupees.
