Possibility of heavy rain in various parts of six provinces throughout Sunday night

KATHMANDU:- According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in various locations across six provinces on Sunday night.

The Division reports that tonight, heavy rain is likely in one or two places within the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces; in the mountainous, hilly, and Terai regions of Sudurpaschim Province; and in the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini Province.

Currently, the country is under the influence of monsoon winds, and the monsoon low-pressure trough is positioned north of its average location. Light to moderate rain has occurred in a few places across Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two locations in Karnali Province.

Generally cloudy conditions will prevail across the country on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two locations within the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces; the hilly regions of Karnali Province; and the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

On Tuesday, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places across the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, the hilly region of Karnali Province, and the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini Province.
