Light rain with lightning likely in the mountainous areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces

KATHMANDU:- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (Weather Forecasting Division) has stated that the country is currently experiencing a partial influence of westerly winds.

Due to this, there is partial cloud cover in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in the Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. In the rest of the country, the weather remains mainly clear.

Today, Tuesday, the weather will be partly cloudy in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in the Himalayan regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. The weather will remain mainly clear in the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and across the Terai regions of the country.

There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in one or two places within the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. The Department has urged that necessary precautions be taken in these areas.
