Bhanu Sharma awarded ‘Star Humanitarian Award 2026’ in US
VIRGINIA:- Bhanu Sharma, the founder of Jeevan Vigyan and a world-renowned spiritual Sadguru, has been honored with the ‘Star Humanitarian Award 2026.’ The Star Scholars Network presented the award to him during a special ceremony held in Virginia, USA, on July 5. Dr. Roy Y. Chan, Director of International Higher Education at Lee University, presented the honor to Sadguru Sharma at the event.
According to the Star Scholars Network website, this is the highest among the various international honors conferred by the organization.
This honor has been conferred in recognition of the visionary leadership Sharma has provided—through self-awakening, mindfulness, and meditation—towards the happiness, peace, prosperity, well-being, and restoration of human dignity for the global community, as well as for individual inner transformation. During the ceremony, Dr. Keith Wright, Chair of the Star Scholars Network’s ‘Global Connection Award,’ highlighted the significance of the award and the rationale behind selecting Sadguru Sharma.
This honor has been conferred since 2024 upon distinguished individuals who are continuously active for the benefit and well-being of humanity. Prior to this, British scientist and researcher of Sri Lankan origin Arjuna Sen (in 2024) and the world-renowned Nepali ophthalmologist Dr. Sanduk Ruit (in 2025) have received this award.
Devi Sharma—Bhanu Sharma’s spouse and the patron of Jeevan Vigyan Gurukul Nepal—was also present at the ceremony where he was honored. The event saw significant participation from Dr. Uttam Gauli (President of the Star Scholars Network) and network representatives, professors from various US universities, scientists from the information technology sector, representatives from Jeevan Vigyan America, and members of the general public of both Nepali and non-Nepali origin.
More than 33,000 researchers, scholars, scientists, and professors from 2,353 universities across 115 countries worldwide are affiliated with this global network (Star Scholars Network).
For the past 15 years, Jeevan Vigyan Pratishthan Nepal has been continuously working with Nepali and non-Nepali-speaking communities across more than 80 countries worldwide. Currently, through its branches in the USA, the UK, Canada, and Qatar, the organization conducts seven-day programs that encompass principles of spiritual practice (*sadhana*), leadership development, and economic prosperity.
Jeevan Vigyan America has stated that the founding ‘Sadgurus’ (spiritual masters) of Jeevan Vigyan personally attend and facilitate these intensive spiritual practice and training programs, which are organized to transform personalities through yoga and meditation.
