KATHMANDU:- The ‘Zero Pending File Campaign’ is being launched from Monday to stop the trend of unnecessary dilly-dallying in decision-making in government offices.
The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has stated that a Zero Pending File Week campaign is being launched in all government offices to minimise the situation where files that need to be implemented from lower bodies are unnecessarily sent to higher levels, affecting the service flow.
Accordingly, the government has already made public the ‘Guidelines for the Operation of the Zero Pending File Week Campaign, 2082’. The campaign aims to ensure that no ongoing files remain stuck for an indefinite period, that responsibilities are clearly assigned, and decisions on the files are resolved promptly. The campaign will be conducted until April 20.
According to the guidelines, a review process will now be automatically implemented on files that have been pending for more than three days, seven days, or 15 days.
This campaign has been launched because a system needs to be developed to resolve issues that can be decided at the relevant authority without unnecessarily sending them to higher authorities. RSS
