UML and NCP reach three-point agreement to cooperate in provincial assembly

An agreement has been reached between the two parties to collaborate in the provincial assemblies and form a joint government. Under this agreement, the UML will lead the joint governments of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, while the Nepali Communist Party will lead those of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.  

KATHMANDU:- A three-point agreement has been reached between the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) and the Nepali Communist Party to accelerate the pace of political stability, good governance, prosperity, and provincial development. 

An agreement has been reached between the two parties to collaborate in the provincial assemblies and form a joint government. Under this agreement, the UML will lead the joint governments of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, while the Nepali Communist Party will lead those of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Govinda Acharya, personal secretary to Coordinator Dahal, informed that an agreement has been reached to determine the leadership and composition of the government in Madhesh and Gandaki provinces through consultations with other political parties represented in the provincial assemblies.

UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have signed the agreement.
