Opposition party proposes discussion on sustainable management of landless squatters
KATHMANDU:- Opposition parties in the House of Representatives (HoR) have registered a proposal of urgent public importance at the Federal Parliament Secretariat to discuss the issues related to sustainable management of genuine landless, landless Dalits, squatters and unmanaged settlers.
The proposal was registered on behalf of opposition parties today as per Rule 71 of the House of Representatives (HoR) Regulations, 2083.
According to the parliament secretariat, the proposal has stipulated the necessity of parliamentary deliberations about the protection of landless squatter citizens and sustainable rehabilitation as per the constitution, law and human rights.
Leader of the main opposition, Nepali Congress, Bhishma Raj Angdembe, has proposed it and was seconded by Ain Bahadur Mahar of the CPN (UML), Yubaraj Dulal of the Nepali Communist Party and Aren Rai of the Rastriya Shram Shaki Party.
