Let’s welcome Bidya Bhandari for party unity

KATHMANDU:- In the CPN-UML secretariat meeting, Senior Vice President Ishwor Pokharel, Vice Presidents Bishnu Poudel and Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal have raised the issue of renewing the membership of former President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Senior Vice President Ishwor Pokharel, Vice Presidents Bishnu Poudel and Ram Bahadur Thapa Badal raised this issue in the meeting. “The three of them have presented a proposal to correct the decision not to renew the membership of former President Bidya Bhandari.”

Ishwor Pokharel is a leader who has been advocating for Bhandari since the beginning. However, in today’s meeting, Bishnu Poudel and Badal also spoke in support of Vidya Bhandari’s membership.

“If the former president wants to return to the party and work, let’s welcome her,” Poudel said. According to sources, Pokharel and Poudel have proposed that the upcoming central committee meeting should decide on the renewal of Vidya Bhandari’s membership.

Another vice-chairman, Badal, also argued that it would not benefit the party by suspending Vidya Bhandari’s membership. “There is a psychological divide within the party regarding her membership,” Badal proposed. “Right now, unity is needed within the party. If she (Vidya Bhandari) wants it, she should be given the opportunity to renew her membership and work.”
