Music for Peace event held
KATHMANDU:- The Music for Peace program has been held with the aim of spreading the message of world peace.
The program was hosted by Journalists for Justice Nepal at the Russian House in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, on Friday. The event was organised to spread the message of peace from Nepal, the country of Gautam Buddha, the propounder of peace, to the world community that the path to peace should be sought through âdialogue and negotiations, not warâ, said the organizationâs president Tikaram Khadka.
Russian House Program Manager Santosh Karki cited music as a powerful medium of cultural dialogue and also noted that the event was considered a symbol of common values, cultural diversity, unity and peace in the context of the 70th anniversary of Russia-Nepal diplomatic relations.
On the occasion, Instrumentalists Adhyay Bhandari, Prateek Dangol and Anush Gandharva performed on the tunes of popular and peace-inspired songs like âResham Phiririâ, âFarki Aauâ and âPhoolkho Aankhnamaâ.
