‘Ba Ek Yoddha’ to be released on September 4
KATHMANDU:- The Nepali family-oriented film ‘Ba Ek Yoddha’ is set to be released simultaneously in Nepal and various countries around the world on Bhadra 19 (September 4).
Produced by Basanta Lamsal under the banner of Artistic Entertainment, the film is scheduled for release to coincide with the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. According to producer Lamsal, the film centers on the sacrifices, responsibilities, love, and emotional journey of a father who struggles throughout his life for the happiness and bright future of his children.
Producer Lamsal stated that the film was created with the aim of offering the audience an emotional experience alongside entertainment. According to him, the effort was made to produce a film that the entire family can watch together. The production team is confident that it will touch the hearts of the audience.
The film is directed by Hari Lamsal, who also wrote the story and screenplay. The film features music composed by Lamsal, set to lyrics by Dr. Krishna Hari Baral, Dr. Rajubabu Shrestha, and Sanjeev Thapa. Shivaram Shrestha handled the cinematography, while Mitra D. Gurung carried out the editing. Anil Budhathoki serves as the executive producer, Arjun Paudel as the line producer, and Krishna Kafle as the co-producer.
Divyadev Pant has brought the role of the father to life in the film. Jharna Thapa appears in the role of the mother, while Suhana Thapa portrays the daughter. Similarly, Sagar Khanal and Supragya Sharma have effectively portrayed the ups and downs of family relationships through their roles as the son and daughter-in-law.
In addition to a cast that includes Shishir Siwakoti, Anil Budhathoki, Mautse Gurung, Sabi Thapa, Chandra Nepal, Krishna Prasad Dhungana, Anjan Dhakal, and Karan Shah, actress Keki Adhikari plays a special role in the film. Produced at a cost of approximately 27.5 million rupees, the movie was filmed at various locations in Kathmandu and in Panauti—a historic and tourist town in Kavre. For Lamsal, who is involved in social work, *Ba Ek Yoddha* marks his second venture as a film producer.
