Monsoon likely to advance across the country within some days

 
KATHMANDU:- There is a possibility that the monsoon will advance over the remaining parts of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, as well as the entire areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim Provinces within the next 3 to 4 days, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology stated. 

The monsoon system is influencing the entire areas of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces, some parts of Gandaki Province, and a few areas of the eastern part of Lumbini Province at present. The remaining parts of the country are under the partial influence of westerly and local winds, according to the Department. 

Tonight, generally cloudy conditions are expected in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Partly cloudy conditions are likely in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces. 

There is a possibility of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and at a few places in the hilly and Himalayan regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
