However, the day for 17-year-old Riddhi Chauhan begins in the early hours, intertwined with the daily routines of 300 cadets and the future success of these aspiring naval personnel.
Riddhi, a student at Benjamin N. Cardozo High School in the Queens borough of New York, currently serves as the Battalion Commanding Officer of her school’s Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) unit.
