Police arrest Daniel and Dennis for allegedly taking selfies while committing crime

Following day, Alameda County Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle and arrested the driver, identified as 53-year-old Daniel Lemas of Hayward. Evidence recovered by police during the investigation includes selfie photos taken by Lemas while committing the theft.

LOS ANGELES:- Hayward police have arrested Daniel Lemas and Dennis Tillis, with evidence, on charges of burglarizing a business in Canyon.

Lemas and Tillis were arrested for allegedly stealing copper wire and vehicles worth over $100,000. According to the police, they even took selfies while committing the theft.

According to the local Canyon police, the burglary occurred on July 6 at a business establishment in Canyon. Police arrived at the scene immediately after receiving a report of the theft in the 1100 block of Green Island Road. They promptly identified two vehicles linked to the burglary.

Following day, Alameda County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle and arrested the driver, identified as 53-year-old Daniel Lemas of Hayward. Evidence recovered by police during the investigation includes selfie photos taken by Lemas while committing the theft.

The Hayward Police Department has taken the driver, 49-year-old Dennis Tyliz, and his vehicle into custody in connection with the theft.

Upon arriving at the scene, the Canyon police arrested Tilis, and he was placed in the custody of the Napa County Department of Corrections on charges of a serious crime.

Stolen items were recovered after police searched a house in the 3200 block of Arden Road in Hayward.

Lemas, who had been in police custody on theft charges, was released after posting $25,000 bail, whereas Tylis remains in jail.

Lemas, previously arrested for theft, had been held at the Napa County Department of Corrections on felony charges.
