DAV reaches semifinals in Gyan Carnival boys football

KATHMANDU:- DAV has advanced to the semi-finals of the boys’ football tournament under the 32nd Gyanodaya Balbatika (GB) Gyan Carnival.

DAV defeated Pathshala 2–0 in the match held at the host school’s ground in Bungamati. Sudip Budhathoki and Bimarsha Ghimire scored the goals. Along with DAV, Little Angels (LA) and the host, Gyanodaya, have also reached the semi-finals; the final team is yet to be determined.

In the girls’ football Super League, AVM defeated Eastpole by a narrow 1–0 margin. Aaroshi Sharma scored the decisive goal. Along with AVM and Eastpole, Rato Bangala also remains in contention for a spot in the final.

In boys’ basketball, LA, Gyanodaya, and LRI have advanced to the semi-finals. In girls’ basketball, Rato Bangala ‘B’, LA, and Gyanodaya have secured their places in the semi-finals. One semi-finalist spot remains to be decided in both categories.

No matches will be played on Monday or Tuesday as part of the tournament, which is being held with the main sponsorship of Sa.Bal Foundation and co-sponsorship of Safal Milk and Chocofun Cross.
