Bagmati CM Baniya announces resignation

MAKWANPUR:- Chief Minister of the Bagmati Province Government, Indra Bahadur Baniya, today resigned from his post.

In the beginning of today’s meeting of the Bagmati Province Assembly, he announced his resignation to pave the way for forming a new government as per the latest political equation. He said he would be submitting his resignation to the Province Chief after a while.

On the occasion, he said the number of ministries has been reduced to eight to minimise capital expenditures, houses have been built for indigent families, damaged physical infrastructures have been repaired, technology has been introduced in the transport sector, stating that such initiatives are the achievements of his tenure.
