Nepali Congress welcomes people’s voting: Spokesperson Chalise

LALITPUR:- Nepali Congress Spokesperson Devraj Chalise has shared that the Nepali Congress has accepted the upcoming election as the test of people’s mandate with a determination to good governance.

For it, NC embraced the reality that activities earlier were not as per people aspirations, he added.

Organising a press conference at the NC Central Office, Sanepa on Sunday, Spokesperson Chalise mentioned that the party had understood that the mandate of sovereign people is the basis of governance’s legitimacy and it is reflected through election.

“We have sought critical analysis from respected representatives of press, the most powerful pillar of democracy. Freedom of expression is the soul of democracy. The NC as the servant and supporter of democracy has been established as the party that always support and advocate for press freedom,” he underlined.

The NC Spokesperson argued, “The first priority of the government is to hold the election in a fair and fair environment. We request all to avoid activities that disrupt social harmony and religious tolerance.”(RSS)
