NCP’s Yadav elected HoR member from Dhanusha-1

KATHMANDU:- Matrika Yadav of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has been elected a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Dhanusha-1 in the HoR election held on March 5.

The Election Commission today provided the certificate of HoR member to Yadav a day after the completion of the vote count owing to confusion on part of the EC.

According to the vote count, Yadav got 10,430 votes against his closet rival Ram Palatan Sah who got 9502. CPN (UML)’s Ram Chandra Mandal got 9315 votes.

The delay in announcement of the result attributed to cancellation of candidacy of the candidate Rastiya Swatantra Party by the EC and the same candidate getting much more votes than Yadav and the case being filed at the Supreme Court.
