“I came close to getting married three times, but God saved me all three times”
MUMBAI:- Fans often keep up with news regarding Sushmita Sen’s marriage, and she, in turn, tries to address their curiosity. Recently, Sushmita answered questions from her fans during an Instagram Live session.
During the session, a fan asked Sushmita about her plans to get married. She replied, “We would both get exhausted trying to find the answer to that question.”
Sushmita has spoken about marriage and her decision to remain unmarried on various occasions.
In 2022, she discussed this topic with Twinkle Khanna on the ‘Tweak India’ show ‘The Icons’. She mentioned that she had met some “extremely interesting men” in her life, but the relationships did not progress because they disappointed her.
Sushmita said, “Fortunately, I met some very interesting men in my life; the only reason I didn’t get married was the disappointment I faced with them. My children played no role in this; they never stood in the way. On the contrary, they were very open-minded. Both my children happily accepted the men who came into my life and never expressed any displeasure. They treated everyone with equal love and respect.”
Sushmita says, “I came close to marriage three times, but God saved me on all three occasions. I cannot say what kind of calamities might have befallen those lives. God protected me; perhaps because He was also watching over my two children, He did not let me get trapped in any complicated or bad relationship.”
Sushmita was previously in a relationship with model Rohman Shawl. They dated for a few years before separating in 2021. She was also in a relationship with businessman Lalit Modi for a brief period.
