Possibility of heavy rain in Himalayan and hilly regions on Tuesday night
KATHMANDU:- According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places across the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces on Tuesday night.
The Division reports that the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds, with generally cloudy conditions prevailing in the mountainous and hilly regions. The Terai regions of Koshi and Sudurpaschim provinces are also generally cloudy.
While the remaining Terai regions are experiencing partial cloud cover, light to moderate rain is occurring at one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
On Wednesday, generally cloudy conditions will prevail across the country, with a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, as well as the hilly regions of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
On that day, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in many places across the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in some places across the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The weather will generally remain cloudy across the country on Thursday as well. On that day, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some places within the mountainous regions.
The department has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places across the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini Province.
