Electronic passport service launched in Oman

MUSCAT:- The Embassy of Nepal in Oman has announced that services related to electronic passports have been operational in Muscat since July 13, 2026. The Embassy issued a notice to this effect on Wednesday.

The notice states that Nepali citizens whose passports have less than one year of validity remaining can renew them by filling out a form and scheduling an appointment, or by visiting the Embassy directly.

The Embassy has announced that passport-related services will be provided on public holidays as well, depending on the volume of applicants and service requirements. Furthermore, the Embassy stated that it assists individuals who are unable to fill out forms or book appointments by filling out the forms on their behalf, ensuring that no one is turned away simply because the form was not completed.
