March 5 poll will be held in single phase, PM assures

BHAKTAPUR:- Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) will be held across the country in a single phase on March 5 in a peaceful manner.

“Get assured. The election is coming near. The election will be held in a single phase and in a single day. The election will be on the slated date,” according to the PM.

After an inspection visit to the Janak Education Materials Centre Limited at Sanothimi in Bhaktapur, where the ballot papers are being printed, the PM told the journalists that there will not be the election in the second phase in any of the districts.

Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal accompanied Prime Minister Karki to inspect the Janak Education Materials Centre Limited.

She shared her excitement to the ongoing progress on ballot paper printing and praised the officials of the printing facilities.

The PM said that the nationwide election fever has increased and the Election Commission (EC) has an equal role in this effort.

Likewise, she hoped that the weather conditions on March 5 would be generally fair.

The voters will get right to vote and the new government will be formed after the announcement of the final results.

Similarly, Minister Aryal said the environment for elections was created across the country and political violence and conflicts have reduced gradually.

He also reiterated that the polls will be held at the slated date on March 5 adding that the government was fully committed to the citizen’s safety and security.

Minister Aryal said that additional security provisions have been arranged to conduct the polls in a free, fair and fearless manner.(RSS)
