8 killed, 4 identified in Kavre’s Selfie Danda bus accident

The deceased have been identified as 34-year-old Phulmaya Tamang of Roshi Rural Municipality-7, 75-year-old Indra Bahadur Jhankri of Ward No. 6 of the same municipality, 60-year-old Pyari Maya Tamang of Ward No. 6, and 30-year-old Bam Bahadur Bhandari of Dailekh.

BANEPA:- Four of the eight people who died in a bus accident that occurred today at Selfie Danda in Buchchakot, Namobuddha Municipality-2, Kavrepalanchok, have been identified. According to the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, four of the eight deceased have been identified.

The deceased have been identified as 34-year-old Phulmaya Tamang of Roshi Rural Municipality-7, 75-year-old Indra Bahadur Jhankri of Ward No. 6 of the same municipality, 60-year-old Pyari Maya Tamang of Ward No. 6, and 30-year-old Bam Bahadur Bhandari of Dailekh.

According to Rabin Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, Bhandari is a civil servant of the Nepal Army.

A passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 8398) heading from Banepa to Sungure, Ward No. 6 of Roshi Rural Municipality, fell off a cliff in Buchchakot, Namobuddha Municipality-2, along the BP Highway this afternoon.

Sixteen people on board the bus have been injured. They are being treated at Dhulikhel Hospital.
