4.0  magnitude earthquake Jolts Eastern Nepal

KATHMANU:- An earthquake with an epicenter near Chyamtang in Sankhuwasabha district, Eastern Nepal has struck.

According to the National Seismology and Research Center, the earthquake measured 4.0 on the Richter scale at 1:31 am on Thursday.

The epicenter of the earthquake is reported to be around Chyamtang, Sankhuwasabha district, Eastern Nepal .

No immediate information was received about the damage caused by the earthquake. Locals said that the tremors were felt in Sankhuwasabha and surrounding areas.
