Vehicular movement restricted in Kanti highway

MAKWANPUR:- The Makawanpur district administration office has restricted vehicular movement in two road sections that lead to Kathmandu through Makawanpur.

Traffic mobility in Kanti highway (Hetauda-Thingan-Bagmati-Lalitpur) that links Hetauda with Lalitpur has been restricted for indefinite period due to ongoing rainfall and possible land slide and floods in streams.

Similarly, vehicles are restricted to move on the Bhimfedi-Deurali-Kulekhani-Sisneri road section from Monday evening to Tuesday morning.

Mohan Raj Joshi, assistant chief district officer of Makawanpur, said the restriction in two road sections was imposed in view of incessant rainfall and possible risks of landslides and floods.
