UML’s Saroj Yadav appointed Chief Minister of Madhesh

MAHOTTARI:- Madhesh Province Chief Sumitra Subedi Bhandari has appointed CPN-UML parliamentary party leader Saroj Kumar Yadav as the Chief Minister.

UML leader Yadav has been appointed as the Chief Minister as the largest party in the Provincial Assembly as per Clause 3 of Article 168 of the Constitution, following the resignation of Chief Minister Jitendra Sonal. Yadav was given the appointment letter on Sunday.

Province Chief Bhandari left Janakpur for Kathmandu this morning citing ill health. Chief Minister Sonal bid her farewell, wishing her good health.

Soon after, a letter from Province Chief Bhandari appointing UML leader Saroj Kumar Yadav as Chief Minister was made public.
