Madhesh Province Chief Bhandari recommended to be removed

KATHMANDU:- The government has decided to recommend to the President to remove Madhesh Province Chief Sumitra Subedi Bhandari from her post.

The meeting of the Council of Ministers held today decided to recommend to the President to remove Bhandari from the post, shared Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel, who is also the government spokesperson.

The meeting also decided to recommend to the President to appoint Surendra Lal Karna of Dhanusha as the Province Chief of Madhesh Province. Likewise, the cabinet meeting today decided to appoint Additional Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki as the next Inspector General (IG) of Nepal Police.

Karki will be the new IG of Nepal Police effective from November 13, shared Minister Kharel. The government also decided to organize the 10th National Games in Karnali Province from coming February 13 to 19.

The meeting has decided to approve the National Identity Card and Registration Second Amendment Rules, 2082. Four more civil servants and 11 Nepal Police personnel have been added to the Commission of Inquiry regarding the incidents of September 8 and 9. RSS
