Two die, 27 injured in Tanahun Bus Accident

KATHMANDU:- Two people have died in a bus accident that occurred this afternoon at Shera, Shuklagandaki Municipality–7, along the Prithvi Highway in Tanahun.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar B.K. of the District Police Office.

The accident happened when a passenger traveling from Pokhara to Bhairahawa went out of the driver’s control and overturned on the road.

A total of 27 injured passengers were taken to GP Koirala Respiratory Treatment Centre in Belchautara, Shuklagandaki Municipality–5, for primary treatment.

They were later referred to Manipal Teaching Hospital and Annapurna Hospital in Pokhara. Three injured are still undergoing treatment at the same center, while one with minor injuries has been discharged.

Among the injured, nine are said to be in critical condition.
