Energy Minister Khadka and MCC Deputy Vice-President Wingle meet

KATHMANDU:- Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Deepak Khadka, and Deputy Vice-President of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), John Wingle, held a meeting on Wednesday.

On the occasion, Minister Khadka expressed gratitude towards MCC’s support in the development of Nepal’s energy sector and lauded the collaboration for the MCC project. He also expressed the belief that with the beginning of the MCC project, a high-quality transmission line would be constructed and Nepal’s energy development goals would be fulfilled.

Khadka pointed out the need to move ahead, strengthening bilateral relations for the implementation of the MCC project. Similarly, Deputy Vice-President Wingle urged the Energy Minister to facilitate the solution of problems of land acquisition and forest area for the implementation of the MCC project.

Energy Secretary Suresh Acharya, Joint Secretary of the Ministry, as well as high-ranking officials, were present on the occasion.
